: A two day regional conference of Legal Services Authorities of Southern states will get underway at nearby Pudukuppam from tomorrow to deliberate on 'effective implementation of legal services programmes, challenges and way forward'.
The conference is being held by the Union Territory of Puducherry Legal Services Authority (UTPLSA).
A UTPLSA release said today that Executive Chairperson Chairpersons and member Secretaries of State level Legal Services Authorities of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Lakshadweep and Puducherry and other Union Territories would participate in the deliberations.

The release said Lt Governor Kiran Bedi and Chief Minister V Narayanasamy would be among those who would participate in the conference.
A legal awareness programme would also be held as part of the meet in the afternoon.
