The Philippine coast guard says at least two passengers died and 11 others remain missing after a motorboat carrying 50 people capsized off an island south of the capital Manila.
A coast guard report says the motorboat Alad Express 2 was en route from Sibuyan Island to nearby Romblon Island when it capsized today for still unclear reasons. DZMM radio quoted a maritime official in the area as saying the sea was rough at that time.
The coast guard says 37 passengers were found on shore and taken to a hospital.
