Two persons, including a woman, were killed and another was injured when a trailer rammed into a pick-up van at Damanpur on NH 31 in Alipurduar district this morning.
A police officer said the eight-wheel trailer collided with the pick-up van killing two on the spot.
The third occupant of the small vehicle was injured and currently being treated at Alipurduar Hospital.
The truck driver was absconding and his vehicle impounded.
