Two doctors were arrested from a private hospital in Yamunanagar district of Haryana for allegedly performing sex determination tests of foetus in violation of the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) Act.
Nirmal Hospital in Yamunanagar district was raided yesterday and two doctors were arrested for violation of MTP Act, a spokesman said here today.
During the raid, four disposable instruments used in termination of pregnancy were found, out of which, two were used, the spokesman said.
An FIR had been lodged against Dr Nirmal Singh, MD, and Dr Anu, owner of Nirmal Hospital, located at Radaur Road.
