Two officials of animal husbandry department were today removed from their post and put under awaiting posting orders (APO) status for alleged laxity in treatment of seven camels in Jhalawar district.
Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu Lal Saini ordered to put them under APO and constituted a high level inquiry in the matter.
Seven camels had died during a treatment camp in Jhalawar district on September 19 and 20.
Primary investigation has revealed carelessness in treatment. Joint Director of the department Dr Ramgopal Meena and senior veterinary doctor S P Singh have been put under APO, an official release said.
