2 drown after car falls in canal in Rajasthan

A car overturned and fell into Hemawas canal in Pali district, killing two persons, the police said today.

The driver lost control over the car last night after which overturned and fell into the canal. Lucky Sindhi (22) and Romil Singhvi (20), who were travelling in the car, drowned, theu said.

One Raunak Jain miraculously escaped, SHO of Kotwali police station, Amar Singh said, adding Jain managed to break a windowpane and came out whereas the other two drowned.

Bodies were later fished out and handed over to their family members without postmortem, he added.
