Two persons drowned when their motorcycle fell into a canal in the Khanpur area of Jhalawar district, the police said today.
The incident took place last evening when Mohammad Doma (35), Mohammad Lukwa (30) and Mustakim (24) were going to Panwad from Taleda village on the motorcycle, SHO Khanpur police station Mahendra Maru said.
Lukwa, who was riding the two-wheeler at a high speed, lost the control at a curve and fell into the canal along with the others, he said.

While he and Doma drowned, Mustakim swam to the shore safely, he said, adding that the bodies of the deceased were recovered late in the night.
The bodies have been handed to the family members after postmortem, Maru said.
A case has been registered and investigation underway, he said.
The trio, residents of Bihar, worked as labourers in the district.
