Two persons today
drowned in the Sagar left canal near Mungala village in the district, police said.
The incident took place this morning when they had gone to take bath to mark "Karthika Pournima," Kodad rural Circle Inspector Madhusudhan Reddy said.
The deceased have been identified as Kadaparthi Mahesh and Mekaraju Prashanth, both relatives. Prashant was working as a software engineer in USA, he said.
