2 drug peddlers held in J-K's Baramulla

Two alleged drug peddlers were today arrested along with 10 kg of poppy straw in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, police said.

Mohammad Rajab Teli and Tariq Ahmad, both residents of Pattan, were arrested during vehicle checking at Baba Teng, 35 kms from here on Srinagar-Baramulla national highway, a police spokesman said.

The official said 10 kg of poppy straw was seized from the possession of the two accused.

A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered against them, the spokesman said.
