Two Malaysia-bound passengers were today arrested at the airport here for allegedly attempting to smuggle 10 kg ephedrine, a stimulant drug, Customs officials said.
The two, hailing from Chennai, were waiting to board the Air Asia's Kuala Lumpur flight when Customs Air Intelligence officials detained them after a scan of their baggage revealed the contraband, they said.
The seized drug was valued at Rs two crore in international market, the officials said.
