Two persons have been electrocuted when a high tension wire snapped and fell on them at Redma under Town police station here in Palamau district today, police said.
The incident occurred when the high tension wire snapped and fell on the victims Anant Tiwari and Kariman Bhuiyan, who were on their way Medininagar from Redma, police said.
Following the incident, enraged local residents put up road blockade on Panki-Ranchi road and the timely intervention by police brought the situation under control.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nancy Sahay said the concerned electricity board officials have been directed to provide relief to the victims family as per the provisons.
