Two engineering students were killed when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a truck in Loni Katra police station area of Haidergarh tehsil on Sultanpur Road here, police said today.
The victims, identified as Mohd Shiraz (23) and Mohd Khalid Khan (25) from Sultanpur, were last evening on their way home when their motorcycle was hit by the truck, killing them on the spot, they said.
The victims were students of engineering at Integral University in Lucknow and were going home for Eid-ul-Zuha, they said.
The truck driver fled from the spot leaving his vehicle behind, police added.
