2 farmers die of electrocution

Two farmers were electrocuted after they came in contact with high tension electric wires in separate incidents in Shamli district, police said today.

40-year-old Devender Kumar died after coming in contact with the wire while fixing the tubewell at his farm in Alim village last evening, they said.

26-year-old Harvinder Singh was electrocuted while he was working in his field at Toda village yesterday, police said.

Both the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, they said.
