2 gang rape cases lodged on court orders

Police have lodged FIRs in connection with two cases of gang rape, that took place in 2013 and 2014, at Dankaur police station today following orders of court.

In one case, a widow has alleged that on 12 March 2013 two local men gave her a lift in a car. She was on her way to at Dankaur along with her two children.

The accused then took her to Sikandrabad and four men raped her. Thereafter she went to lodge an FIR but it was not registered, she claimed. She then moved court.

In the second case, a woman alleged that on November 2 last year four men had taken her to a jungle near Salarpur underpass and raped her. She said as police had refused to lodge an FIR, she moved the court.
 

In both the cases, the court has directed lodging of FIR. Police said manhunts have been launched to arrest the accused.
