Members of two groups threw stones at one another and torched a number of motorcycles over spraying of colours during Holi celebrations here, police said today.
Superintendent of Police Sachindra Patel said the incident took place in Kariyaav Bazaar yesterday. Members of two groups of the same community clashed over spraying of colours.
The two groups threw stones at each other and a Dial 100 police van. Five motorcycles were torched.
About 24 people were injured in the incident. 10 people have been taken into custody. The Provincial Armed Constabulary has been deployed in the area, he added.
