Two persons were arrested today for allegedly stealing jewellery worth crores of rupees from a shop in busy Thatheri Bazar here two weeks ago, police said.
Acting on a tip off, a joint team of the Crime Branch and the police this morning nabbed the duo near the Beniyabagh park here, they said.
Two country-made bombs, along with the stolen jewellery worth rupees 30 lakh, was seized from their possession, SSP Nitin Tiwari said.

Brothers Prahalad and Sanjay Agarwal had lodged a police complaint that nearly 12 kg of gold jewellery worth over Rs 3 crore was stolen from their shop on April 8.
The incident took place when two persons posing as customers entered their shop and later five more robbers armed with guns and knives arrived and held the workers hostage, snatching their mobile phones, broke CCTV cameras and looted the jewellery.
Tiwari said efforts are on to nab the remaining accused.
