Two youths allegedly involved in stealing two-wheelers and selling them off to fund their "lavish" lifestyle and "spending on girlfriends" have been arrested, police said.

Police said 24-year-old Satish alias Aryan alias Poly and Sourabh (20) were arrested on April 1 on a tip-off.

Vijay Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (west), said five motorcycles stolen from various places have been recovered from the accused.

A team was formed based on a complaint registered on April 1, the officer said.

"They wanted to lead a lavish lifestyle but their family members were not providing them money adequate for that," said Kumar.

They confessed their involvement in the crime saying they did this due to their drug addiction and to spend money on girlfriends, he said.
