2 held for stabbing man to death

A man, in his 20s, was stabbed to death by two men in west Delhi's Vishnu Garden, following which the duo was arrested, the police said today.

On August 22, the police were informed about an injured man -- Akbar Ali -- succumbing to his stab injuries at a city hospital. The police team began investigation and arrested two persons -- Mohammad Shubhan and Mohammad Abzal -- in the case, said a senior police officer.

The accused claimed that the victim was a "criminal" and used to extort money from them, he added.

The victim's family claimed that he was lying for a long time on the road and asking for water but no one came to his aid. A passerby, later, informed the police and took him to a hospital.
