Police today arrested two persons for stabbing a youth to death in Bapa Nagar area of Karol Bagh in central Delhi.

Rohan, an 18-year-old student, and his brother Anshul (23) were arrested for murdering Harvinder Singh, who was trying to save his younger brother Narender from being thrashed by the duo yesterday, police said, adding that another accused B C Yogesh is still at large.

Narender had yesterday intervened in a dispute between a shopkeeper and Rohan, who had slapped the latter. Although the dispute was resolved, Rohan held a grudge against Narender.

He later returned with Anshul and friend Yogesh and began thrashing Narender, who called his brother Harvinder for help. In the altercation that ensued, Anshul stabbed Harvinder with a dagger, and the accused trio fled the spot, leaving Harvinder, in a pool of blood.

Narender, with his friend's help, took the injured Harvinder to Lady Harding Medical College, where he was declared dead on arrival, and then informed police.

Rohan and Anshul were arrested after an FIR was registered, while Yogesh is still at large, police said.

The cops also said that Anshul was a criminal who has six serious cases registered against him in Prasad Nagar police station.
