Two persons were today arrested after a huge quantity of explosives used for illegal mining were recovered from two places here, police said.
Around 550 kg of Amonium Nitrate packed in 11 bags, 800 rods of gelatin in four cartons, 2,891 metre of safety fuse wire, 900 detonators were among the explosives seized at Lakher village here, SP Rural Nitin Deep said, adding one Madan Lal was arrested in this connection.
A similar quantity of explosives was recovered from Balalji Stone Crusher in Jamwaramgarh area here while one Kailash Chand was arrested in this connection, the SP said.
Both the persons have been arrested under the explosive Act he said, adding the investigation was underway.
