Two persons were arrested with 48 kilogrammes of marijuana in Aurangabad, police said Tuesday.
The contraband was brought in from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh for sale here, Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Khade said.
"On a tip-off, Pundliknagar police intercepted a SUV. A search led us to 48 kgs of marijuana worth Rs 4.60 lakh hidden in plastic bags in the vehicle. A case has been registered under the Narcotics, Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS)," he said.
