Two home guards, both brothers, were shot at and critically injured at a roadside eatery by four persons on NH-58 in Murad Nagar area here.
The incident took place last night as Rajiv (33) and Bhanu Pratap (34), both posted as home guards at Noida, went to a road side dhaba from their house in Manota village to dine, SHO Murad Nagar police station Subodh Saxena.
Later, four men in a car came at the eatery and had an argument with Rajiv and opened fire at him, the police officer said, adding that his brother rushed to save him but he was also shot at.
Hearing gunshots, police reached the spot and chased the assailants who fled leaving the car behind.
Both the injured brothers were rushed to Yashoda hospital by police.
A case against four person was registered.
