Two hot air balloons of a private firm today took off allegedly without permission in Udaipur, but were later brought down.
The company has applied for permission for hot air ballooning during the upcoming lake city festival from February 11 to 14 but no clearance was issued for today, Additional District Collector O P Bunkar said.
"The matter is being examined. We have sought details from ATC-Udaipur," he said.
A mysterious balloon-shaped object was shot down on the Republic day by a Sukhoi-30 fighter aircraft in Rajasthan's Barmer district, bordering Pakistan, after the IAF radar detected it.
