2 houses gutted in fire incident in Doda

Two houses were gutted when a fire broke out in one of the houses in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

The incident occured yesterday when fire broke out from the house of one Bela Ram due to cooking in the eatery running in the building in Thathri belt of Doda district.

The fire spread to another building of one Manzoor Ahmed Bhatt, they said adding the jawans of Rashtriya Rifles and locals rushed to the spot and controlled the fire.

Fire tenders also rushed to the spot and doused the fire, they said adding that there was no loss of life or injury to any one in the incident.
 

Meanwhile, former Congress Minister and MLA Inderwal, G M Saroori, has demanded immediate relief to the fire victims, whose properties were damaged in the incident.
