Two Indian men accused of blackmailing, abducting and raping an Australian woman will stand trial at a court in Canberra.

Ajitpal Singh, 31, and Randhir Singh, 20, who maintained pleas of not guilty at a magistrate court yesterday, ordered to stand trial in the Australian Capital Territory Supreme Court on charges of rape, abduction, unlawful confinement, and committing acts of indecency.

The two allegedly used a dating app to lure the woman into meeting them at the Kippax shopping centre in Holt suburb.

The woman accepted a friend request from one of the men through the application and agreed to meet him at a shopping centre on September 26 last year.

On reaching, she found three men in a car but did not greet them.

One of them then got out of the car, threatened to tell her husband about the alleged sexual content of the messages, abducted her and sexually assaulted her, while photographing the incident in the car, police said

The third man involved in the case has since fled the country, The Canberra Times reported.
