Tension prevailed at Haryana Roadways depot in Ambala City today after a clash broke out between members of two unions over the adjustment of duty of a conductor.

Trouble erupted when the chief organiser of Sarv Karmchari Sangh, Inder Singh Badhana had gone to meet the duty clerk of the depot to request him not to change the bus route for a conductor, who is an active member of his union.

But, duty clerk Som Nath informed him that the route was already changed as per the direction of the GM of the depot.

Subsequently, there was a heated exchange between them, which lead to a fight, police said.

Even as Som Nath, a supporter of Bhartiya Majdoor Sangh (BMS) informed his leaders of the incident, Badhana alleged that the BMS leaders ransacked the office of his union and locked its door.

After a while, members of both the unions gathered at the depot and clashed with each other, leaving two injured, the police added.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and received complaints from both the unions against each other.

When contacted, GM Kuldheer Singh said that the matter was being investigated.
