Two jail inmates, including BSP MLA B L Kushwah, were today injured when two groups clashed at the district jail here.
The clash broke out between groups one led by Jagan and Mukesh Thakur inside the jail. In stone pelting between the two groups, Kushwah, who is in the jail in a murder case, and a dacoit Dhara Gujar were injured, Additional SP Rajendra Khoth said.
A case against 10 inmates under sections 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 160 (punishment for committing affray) of IPC has been registered in Kotwali police station, the ASP added.
