2 Iranian nationals held with 'fake' passport in Chennai

Two Iranian nationals have been arrested at the airport here for trying to fly to London allegedly on fake passports, officials said today.

The two accused- a man and a woman aged 25 and 35 respectively --were detained late last night when they arrived to board a London-bound flight of a private alirline, police and Immigration officials said.

The duo had come here from Goa and were found in possession of 'fake' Israeli passports, officials said adding they were subsequently detained.

Detailed inquiries were held with the couple and various angles were being probed, police said without divulging further details.
