2 kg heroin recovered from passenger at Pakistan airport

A Pakistani passenger who allegedly tried to smuggle 2 kg of heroin to the UK has been detained at the international airport here.

The passenger Abid Hussain was traveling to Birmingham by Pakistan International Airlines flight, Geo News reported.

The passenger hailing from north-west Nowshera district was nabbed at Benazir International Airport here.

The custom officials seized heroin from Abid's bag and jacket while scrutinising his luggage at the airport.
