Two children, who had gone with
over six others of their village to take bath in a nearby canal, drowned in swift water current near Dhansinga village this evening.
"While taking a bath, four children went deep. Two were rescued by fellow children however, the other two were swept away in the swift water current and they drowned," Dy SP Atul Kumar Srivastava.
The bodies were fished out about 50 metres away after over two hours.
The children had gone to bathe in the canal on the occasion of Dussehra.
