Two children were killed in separate incidents of collapses of a building and a wall apparently triggered by the rains in different parts of the city today.
In central Delhi's Anand Parbat area, a double-storeyed poorly constructed house fell on an adjacent shanty around 2.50 pm, killing two-year-old Varsha and injuring a twenty-day-old baby and two adults, Harish (20) and Bindu (20), a police officer said.
The rescue operation was started soon after and the injured were admitted to Jeevan Mala Hospital in Karol Bagh, a fire official said.

In another incident, a ten-year-old boy died in Nihal Vihar area of west Delhi today after a wall collapsed on him.
The boy, Ravi was returning from his father's shop when the wall collapsed on him near Chhoti Puliya area around 2.40 pm.
"He was rescued from the rubble and rushed to a hospital, but succumbed to his injuries," a police officer said.
The boy's body was handed over to his family after post mortem, police said, adding that a case of negligence was registered against the owner of the plot and further investigations were on.
