Superintendent of police Luv Kumar today said that a heated argument took place between a `sorcerer' and some others of the same village who had come to him for some work.

The two rival groups attacked each other with lathis and also indulged in brick-batting with 14 people injured in the clash, Kumar said.

Two of the injured Hira Bind and Parashuram Yadav succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital in Varanasi, the SP said.

An FIR was lodged today against 20 persons of both the factions, the SP said, adding that so far no arrest has been made.
