2 killed, 13 injured in accident

Two people were killed and 13 others injured when a transport vehicle lost control and fell into a deep gorge in Tundla village of Rajouri district today.

The incident occurred earlier this morning when the driver

of a 25-seater canter lost control while ferrying passengers on the Kalakote-Tatapani road and the vehicle fell into a 200 feet deep gorge, SSP Rajouri, Mubasir Latifi, said.

Shamin Akhtar and Mohammad Nasheed lost their life in the accident, while 13 others were injured, he said.

Five of the injured were referred to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu Latifi, said.
