A 22-year-old bridegroom and a toddler were killed while 15 others were injured when a tractor trolley they were travelling in overturned on Anasagar-Sheopur road here today, police said.
The mishap occurred when 35 to 40 people were returning in a tractor trolley from a mass marriage ceremony of Bairwa community in Piplada village, they said.
The deceased have been identified as Shravan Lal Bairwa of Shopur village and 2-year-old Prince from Bishanpur village, SHO of Etawa police station, Madan Lal Khateek said.
He said at least 15 people were injured in the incident, including nine women and four children.
Out of the 15, four seriously injured have been referred to MBS hospital in Kota while the others are being treated at a government hospital in Etawa, Khateek said.
The brother of the deceased bridegroom was driving the vehicle at the time of the mishap, he said, adding a case has been lodged against him and further investigation is underway.
