Two persons were killed today and as many injured as the fish-laden van in which they were travelling overturned in East Godavari district, police said.
The mishap occurred at Burri Lanka village, 30 kms from here when the van's tyre burst while it was going from Ravulapalem to Rajamundhry, Kadiam circle Inspector G Ratna Raju said.
The deceased were siting on the top of the vehicle and their identity is yet to be ascertained, he said.
Police said that the driver and cleaner sustained injuries and were rushed to Rajahmundry government general hospital.
