2 killed, 2 injured in accident in Raj

Two brothers were killed and two other persons were injured when an autorickshaw in which they were travelling collided with a truck on Hanumangarh road in Sriganganagar district.

The incident took place yesterday when Ramujiyar Singh, a retired Army Subedar along with his sons -- Neeraj and Dheeraj -- were on their way to Lalgarh Jatan area in an auto-rickshaw, police said, adding, the vehicle was hit by a speeding truck near a bus stand.

They were rushed to a hospital where Neeraj was declared dead and Dheeraj succumbed to his injuries during treatment, they said.

Ramujiyar Singh and auto driver Rajesh also received injuries and are being given treatment, police said.
 

The truck driver has been identified as Bhadarnath and an FIR has been registered against him.
