Two persons were killed and three others including a woman seriously injured when a car hit a tree near Manikui village on Chandil-Kandra Road in adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district, police said.
The victims were all returning home in Adityapur when the incident took place last night, police said.
While 27-year-old Dinbandhu Mandal and his cousin Jayprakash Mandal (26) were killed on the spot while three others including a woman sustained serious injuries, sources said.
A police team rushed to the spot and rushed the injured to Tata Main Hospital here, where they were admitted.
