2 killed, 30 injured in road accident in Odisha

Two persons were killed and 30 others injured when the vehicle they were travelling after attending a marriage ceremony dashed against a truck in Odisha's Bolangir district early today, police said.

The mishap took place near Salebhata village when more than 50 people were returning to Kudharikata village in Loisingha police limit after attending a marriage ceremony at Bendra village, they said.

The deceased were identified as Ghana Bhue (25) and Dileswar Juadi (17), they added.

The injured were admitted at the Bolangir and Dunripali hospitals while afterwards 24 of them were shifted to the VSS Medical College and Hospital at Burla after their condition deteriorated, police said.
 

The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene and a case has been registered in this connection, they added.
