2 killed, 4 injured in road accidents in Amethi

Two people, including a minor, were killed and four seriously injured in separate accidents in Amethi when their motorbikes were hit by speeding vehicles, police said today.

Last evening, Himanshu (11) was killed and his parents, Girdhari Raidas and Rajkumari, sustained serious injuries when a tempo hit their motorbike near Raghu Purwa Chauraha, police said.

The injured were rushed to a hospital.

The tempo driver is absconding.

In another tragedy, Ram Asare (50) was killed and Vishal (20), who was riding pillion, was grievously injured after a car hit them on Amethi-Durgapur road.

The car driver fled after the accident, police said.
