2 killed, 9 injured in road accident in Maharashtra

Two women labourers were today killed and nine others injured when a car rammed into an auto-rickshaw, in which the victims were travelling, police said.

The mishap occurred this morning at Shelwad phata in the district when the labourers were going to Betavad village from Muktal village, a police official, attached with the Bodwad police station, said.

The deceased have been identified as Noorjahan Bee Baghwan (45) and Indrayani Kase (48), both residents of Muktal in Bodwad tehsil in the district, he said.

The injured have been admitted to civil hospital at Jalgaon. A case has been in this connection and investigations are underway, the officer added.
