Two persons were killed and six others injured when two coaches and engine of Guwahati-bound Capital Express from Bihar's Rajendra Nagar Terminal derailed in North Bengal last night.
NF Railway officials said two unidentified male bodies were found from the coaches while six persons were injured in the derailment that occurred at around 9 PM last night near Shamuktala Road station, about 32 km from Alipurduar Railway Division headquarters.
Initial reports had said that 10 persons were injured.

said three persons - the driver, assistant driver and guard of Capital Express have been suspended.
A probe into the derailment has been instituted by the Commission of Railway Safety, he said.
CPRO, NF Railway, Pranav Jyoti Sharma said work is on to remove the derailed coaches from the track.
He also said that the two bodies appeared to be that of monks from their clothes and footwear.
