Two persons were killed today when some explosive substance being carried by them on a two-wheeler exploded here, police said.
Ravichandran and Chellaiah died on the spot and their motor cycle got mangled under the impact of the explosion which occurred at Nallur, they said.
Police said it was suspected that the two were taking the explosives for the purpose of deepening of a well.
Explosive experts were on the spot to ascertain the nature of explosive substance, police said, adding further investigation was on.
