2 killed as goods train rams into auto at unmanned crossing

The mishap occurred at M.Pudur as the autorickshaw's brake failed while approaching the crossing and the driver could not stop the vehicle, police said.

A 28-year old woman and her relative were killed and her nine-month old daughter and husband seriously injured when the Bangalore-bound goods train hit the autorickshaw in which they were travelling.

The injured had been admitted to a hospital.
