2 killed as minibus carrying school children topples in MP

Two people, including a 12-year-old student, were killed while 12 children seriously injured after a mini-bus carrying them to school toppled at Badveli village in the district today, police said.

Two people, including a central school student, were killed on spot, while 12 students sustained severe injuries after the private mini-bus toppled at Badveli village on the Jaipur-Jabalpur National Highway, some 10 km from here, Police inspector Indraraj Singh told PTI.

The bus was on its way to Khiljipur area from Rajgarh city, when the accident took place, he said.

The deceased have been identified as Rohit Paliwal (12) and Nand Singh (35), a passenger, the police official said, adding that the injured students have been admitted to the hospital.
 

Police were on the the lookout for the bus driver, who fled after the incident, the inspector said, adding that further investigations are on.
