Two persons, including a village head, were today killed and another person injured when their vehicle was hit by a truck in Khutar area here.
Rakshapal Singh (48), the village head, and Mankeet Singh (40) were killed on the spot while Kamaljeet was injured after their SUV was hit by the truck, police said, adding that they were going to Lucknow.
An FIR was registered and a manhunt was launched to nab the truck driver, who is absconding, they said.
The bodies have been sent for post mortem examination, they added.
