2 killed in clash over property dispute

Two people were killed in a clash over property dispute in Gorakhpur today, police said

A panchayat meeting was going on to resolve a dispute over

giving possession of land in village Dhausa Tola and suddenly rival groups opened fire at each other. Two persons-Prem Sagar Tewari (62) and Sittu Yadav (35), brother of the gram pradhan who was conducting the panchayat, were killed, police said.

Tewari's son was arrested with the licenced SBBL gun of the deceased. A country made weapon and four empty cartridges were also recovered from the spot, police said, adding a case has been registered and further investigations are on.
