Violence continued unabated in Pakistan's biggest city today with a man was gunned down in a suspected target killing while another died in a bomb blast.
Asad Usman, a senior professor of medicine, was gunned down also in Nazimabad area, police said.
"Usman was working at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and was shot dead by unknown assailants. His guard also fired back but he was also injured," a doctor said.

In another incident, a man was killed when a bomb fixed underneath his car exploded in North Nazimabad area.
"The bomb was detonated by a remote control device and we are investigating whether it was a sectarian killing," a senior police official said.
Another man was also injured in the blast.
