2 killed in Pak landmine blast

At least two security guards of a tribal elder were killed today and one injured as a landmine went off in the restive tribal region in northwest Pakistan.

The landmine blast occurred in Mohmand agency bordering Afghanistan.

The security guards of tribal elder Malik Ayaz Safi were going by foot when they were hit by a landmine and as a result of the explosion three persons were injured.

The security forces have started search operation in the agency for the arrest of the extremists.

Separately, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of KP police arrested a wanted terrorist carrying a reward of Rs 1 million on his head.
 

The CTD personnel carried out a search operation in Kohat and arrested the wanted terrorist identified as Gulab Sher. Two hand grenades and a pistol was recovered from him.
