2 killed in separate incidents in Jamshedpur

Two persons were killed in separate incidents under Kowali police station in Patama Block here, police said today.

58-year-old Gola Munda, was killed by unknown persons by slitting his throat when he was sleeping outside his house in Kodabhalki village last night, Officer-in-charge of Kowali PS Jitendra Ram said.

The victim was unmarried, Ram said adding, an illicit relation is suspected to be the cause of murder.

In another incident, a 55-year-old man, identified as Ansuman Mandal was allegedly beaten to death by his younger brother Subash Mandal yesterday in Gorinda village, Ram said.

The incident took place when Ansuman was going to a nearby pond to have bath when Subash along with his son attacked him with a lathi, injuring him grievously, he said.
 

Ansuman was rushed to a hospital here but he succumbed to his injuries, the OC added.
