Two persons including a 23-year-old woman were today killed in separate road accidents here, police said.
Mounika, who was second pillion rider on a motorcycle was killed after being run over by a speeding lorry at P M Palem area, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) K Prabhakar said.
The bike was being driven by her husband and her brother-in-law was also sitting with the deceased, he said.
In a separate incident, 73-year-old M Bhaskara Rao, who was riding a motorcycle, was killed after being run over by a lorry, the officer said.
The lorry driver was in an inebriated condition and was taken into custody, police said, adding investigations are underway in both the cases.
